Homer Township Board Regular Meeting Minutes
March 10, 2025 at 5:30 pm
Location: Homer Town Hall
Board Members in Attendance: Chairman Harlan Larsen, Supervisor Franklin Fitch, Jr., Supervisor Gordy Nagle, Clerk Charlotte Roraff
Absent: Treasurer Kim Skappel
Meeting was called to order by H. Larsen at 5:30pm followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Prior meeting minutes were read by C. Roraff. F. Fitch made a motion to accept the minutes as read. G. Nagle seconded. Vote taken, 3 in favor. Motion carried.
Meeting agenda was reviewed. G. Nagle made a motion to accept the meeting agenda. F. Fitch seconded. Vote taken, 3 in favor. Motion carried.
Public comments started. Skip Ellings and Roger Roraff made comments.
There was no new business to be addressed.
H. Larsen had the following to report regarding Homer Township Roads:
Roads will be soft and rough for awhile
Still need to arrange for the truck to be serviced.
G. Nagle indicated the Township Attorney is still waiting on some of the requested documents regarding the fire department so no other updates. G. Nagle sent the Stone Roller road order to the attorney for review.
Pickwick Fire Department Chief, Adam Zimmerman, gave a brief update from the fire department. Mutual aid was given to Nodine this past month. There were not many calls this past month. The extreme temperatures took a toll on equipment recently. Tentative date of May 3rd for the chicken que fundraiser.
C. Roraff gave a reminder that polls are open from 3:00pm to 8:00pm for Township elections tomorrow and the Annual Meeting will follow after polls close.
F. Fitch made a motion to adjourn the meeting. G. Nagle seconded. Vote taken, 3 in favor. Meeting adjourned at 5:43pm.
